Well today we had a breakthrough amongst all the difficulty. Jonah was taken off of his IV Nutrition (TPN) because he is getting enough of Mommy's milk to sustain him! His chest x-ray is still pretty yucky but they have been able to ween a bit on his vent settings.

Well today has been a battle for our little one. He has made some very small improvements and for that we are grateful. Jonah's Lung x-rays still look yucky because of the infection and the doctors believe Jonah was/is having Bronco Spasms. A condition that further complicates Jonah's breathing. To remedy the Bronco Spasms he is getting caffeine. Jonah received another blood transfusion, which brings his total number of transfusions to around 12-15. Jonah's oxygen levels have been between 40 and 70% today. So overall he is showing some progress, just in very small doses!
