Ok Laurel, here we go again, this ones for you!!! So Jonah is continually doing well. He scored a nine out of ten points today on his nursing!! He was able to stay awake and boy did he work hard. Hurray!!! Also the nurse turned Jonah's nasal canula down to 2 on his flow just before we left tonight. At the time he was tolerating it very well, and we haven't received a phone call to tell us otherwise. Jonah did well nursing this evening. We also received a report that the day nurse fed Jonah with a bottle. He sucked out 7 mL. She said he could have sucked more but she used a low flow nipple because she was unsure how Jonah would handle a regular nipple. The nurse reported that his sucking was well coordinated and nice and strong. We are told that the more Jonah sucks on a Binky, a bottle, and nurses the more strength he will get and the longer he will be able to feed from a bottle or his mommy.
