Fun with a Gooey Pumpkin
Tonight we carved Jonah's pumpkin. Daddy did the honors and cut it open and loosened the "guts". Then it was Jonah's turn to pull out the insides and put them in the bag. He was pretty grossed out with the texture. He kept telling us that they pumpkins was too gooey! Jonah got to choose what to carve for the face. He was having a hard time telling us what shapes to use so we grabbed his Tupperware Shape Sorter and had him look through the shapes. He decided on a + and an oval for the eyes, a square for the nose, and a smile with 2 teeth. Daddy drew on the face with a marker and Mommy went to cutting. Jonah was pretty entranced to watch the face come to life. Almost done... Ta-Da! Jonah is pretty proud of his pumpkin. On skype tonight he told Gaga to come over and look at his pumpkin on the porch.
