2 Brothers Layne

Grandma and Grandpa Layne (Nanna and Papa) came to visit Jonah today! Jonah got to snuggle with Nanna and her quickly took hold of he fingers to make sure she didn't go anywhere. As for Papa... he must have partied to hard last night! Thanks for the visit! Jonah was moved into pod 2 early this morning. We again mourn the loss of the coveted window seat in pod 1. We are now in the very back of the room in the corner. Jonah made some noble attempts at bottle feeding with mommy today but both times he fell fast asleep.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Today was an all around good day!!! Jonah's feedings are going well, kinda scary about how well they are going. Jonah is taking a full feeding at least twice a day, and most of a bottle maybe 2-3 times a day. So all-in-all Jonah is getting offered a bottle at most 8 times a day, and two of them he his taking all 52 mLs in 30 minutes or less. Today Jonah weighed in at 6 lbs 6 oz. This may go down tomorrow due to Jonah hadn't urinated in a couple of feedings. We brought in the new year with Jonah and the NICU staff tonight. What a hoot! Dave showed one of the CNA's what a "terd bird" is. You grab a bottle of lotion with a pump top and hit the pump to shoot the lotion across the room. Dave hit the CNA with a direct shot to the face. In her mouth, on her glasses, in her hair, on her shirt, and up her nose - well at least that is what she says, so dramatic! We dressed up a bit, masks and tiarra/crown things. We almost got out of control. ...
