Swallow Study
Today was the feared swallow study. Tanya and Jonah had an early morning. Tanya woke up at 300 to start Jonah's feeding and came back to bed. Around 330 Tanya got up again because Jonah was having some trouble with a coughing fit. Tanya had to vent his tummy to get the bubbles out. She fell asleep holding him, until I came in at 5 to stop the feeding and give him his early morning meds. This is a change to the normal because he couldn't have anything past 500 am. We went back to sleep until about 630. Meanwhile, Jonah was off and on with sleep. The swallow study went pretty well. We talked with Jonah about what was going to happen, and he said he could be brave. Tanya stayed out in the hall, still traumatized from the last swallow study. I went back with Jonah. He was scared for a couple minutes. He cried only a little; but we were able to talk him through the tough times and he swallowed big!!!! What a CHAMPION!!! Jonah has grown so much since Se...
