3 pokes to many
Today Jonah had to go see the Endo doc for some tests on his adrenal gland. This is the series. Blood drawn to check cytosol levels, steroids given, and then another blood sample. It took three pokes with prodding to get a needle in that didn't rupture a vein. After many tears and a lot of screaming Tanya was able to get Jonah to put on a brave face so the nurse could continue the torture. When all was said and done, Jonah was happy, and I am sure mommy and nurse kristen were as well. Later in the day the doc called to tell us that Jonah's test was as bad as the first one, and that he needed to be put on a steroid to help his adrenal gland start producing what it needs to. We have another follow up in May, but until then Jonah has been put on Hydro-cortisol. As for the rest of us, Tanya was able to enjoy some time tonight with her sewing group.
