Surprise!

Jonah gave us a big Surprise this morning during PT with Erin. We discovered that so long as someone keeps Jonah's mind on other things he has the ability to STAND INDEPENDENTLY!!! Of course it is only for a few seconds until he panics and sits down but it's standing nonetheless! The funny story of the day comes from Speech therapy with Jaqui. She and Jonah had been building a house out of his giant lego blocks and Jacqui got side tracked answering my question. When she looked back Jonah had completely destroyed the house. Jacqui played the disappointed sad playmate to see how Jonah would react. Jonah looked straight at her and said (with no real emotion on his face or in his voice), "Bummer." He then proceeded to continue playing with the blocks. All 4 adults in the room were busting at the seams with laughter! What a funny kiddo. Guess I'd better work a little harder at teaching this boy some compassion.
