Ever so thoughtful!!!

Jonah was a trooper today! With the new Dr's orders to be in his stander for at least 1 hour we gave it a whirl. He successfully completed two 30 minute sessions in the stander. It took two of us, both Charissa (Whom I formerly referred to as Claire) and me attempting to keep his mind off the task at hand to make it happen. This evening I got a phone call from the Pali family inviting me to dinner with them. Mamaw was kind enough to volunteer to watch Jonah and so I went! I didn't realize until we got to the diner that I was on a date... My little nephew Matt offered me his arm as we walked in. Then he opened the door and sat next to me during dinner. It was sooo sweet! Thanks Pali Family and Mamaw for a wonderful evening.

Marathon Day!

What a great day it has been. At both Dr. Appointments Jonah amazed the Doctors with all the progress he is making. I love it when that happens!!! The Rehab doctor has instructed us to get Jonah in his stander for a minimum of an hour every day! Dr. Null says that by the end of summer Jonah should be off his steroids completely, and weened significantly on his diuretics. He also reemphasized that Jonah will continue to grow new (healthy) lung tissue until he is 3 to 3.5 years old and we need to do what we can to shield him from contracting any illnesses that could hinder the growth of the new lung tissue. It was a good reminder to hear. Here is Jonah with one of his Surrogate Grandmas (Diane). Jonah and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit and getting all caught up on recent events. We left the house at 7:30 this morning and didn't arrive home until close to 5:00 pm. We are both exhausted but very happy!
