this is Jonah. The second picture is Jonah on drugs!!! Ha ha ha. Today has been a little better day than the days on the weekend. Jonah has been so irritable, yes Kara He does get that from his mommy, that they decided to give him some sedatives to help him relax. They didn't want to "Snow" him - snow- an adjective describing one's ability to stay awake; or lack thereof is a better definition- so in plain english they didn't want to sedate Jonah to the point of making him non responsive, just enough to take the edge off. I tease the nurses that they want to give Jonah enough drugs to keep him buzzed and happy. They say it is to help Jonah organize himself better. This has worked very well. Jonah has rested very peacefully and has gotten into the REM, Rapid Eye Movement, sleep. This is very important for Jonah to get this deep sleep so his body can heal and store energy.
