IFSP
Today was Jonah's IFSP (Individualized Family Service Plan). This is the official document that the Up to 3 Program creates for each of the Kiddo's they serve. It is an outline of what we, as a team, would like to help Jonah accomplish over the next 6 months. It was good to hear nice things that other people have observed about our son. We began the meeting by listing Jonah's strengths. Mom and Dad wrote that he has a great smile, he is very happy, and he is one tough kid. The physical therapist was impressed with how tolerant he is and how hard he works. The service coordinator mentioned that he has a very cute sigh. Some standardized testing was done a week ago to see where Jonah's skills are compaired to other kids his cronological age. His two top scores were cognitive and fine motor at 4 months and his lowest was self help (eating) and speech at 1 month. So our little boy is quite obviously very delayed... however things seem to be clicking for him faster ...
