I have has some tender moments today in preparing to bring Jonah home. This morning as I drove to PCMC I caught myself in awe of the fact that every time I checked my blind spot to switch lanes I glimpsed Jonah's car seat in the back seat. This is a first for me. I admit that I started to cry because of a silly thing like having a carseat in my car. Then I arrived in SLC and it was time to carry the seat through the NICU and I realized something. I finally got to be the mom carying the carseat through the unit. I have spent 9 months watching carseats come in and babies leave in them that I Never thought it would actually be our turn one day. Again I cried! We did Jonah's carseat trial today. This is a simple test to ensure that he will keep his oxygenation level up while seated in his chair. He was in for over an hour and did great.
