Mommy's News (Issue 173)

Jonah had a good day today. He nippled 74 ounces early this morning and nothing since then. He had another echo-cardiogram this morning and found out that his pressures are up a bit. This tells us that his dose of Viagra is not enough. So instead of getting it twice a day he'll now receive it every 8 hours. The doctors will continue checking on his heart until they feel they have the dose just right. Thanks for your words of support and your continued prayers! We appreciate it very much!

Jonah got lasix this morning and it made all the difference. I saw lots of smiles and he nippled 4 partial feedings today. McKenzie, our fearless photographer has been working on photoshopping out Jonah's canula and feeding tubes. She does such a great job! Tanya and I have some heavy feelings today, some good, but most of them frustrated and sad. Words really can't explain how we feel. We know that this, taking care of Jonah, is not going to be easy. The stresses of life are revealing themselves in our little family. We know some things for sure. God supports us, our friends and family support us, and Jonah will be in the hospital for a while, well until he comes home. I hope you all enjoy the pictures. In the bottom picture, just as we finished this picture Jonah decided to relieve himself and peed on the white blanket. We had a good laugh.
