Another peaceful day thanks to the magical and inspired world of miracle drugs. Jonah has received 3 of the six shots of steroids, Dextera - i think. The Nurse Practitioner said that he is responding very well to the steroids- given for the inflammation in his lungs. He has been, previous of the steroid treatment, between 90% - 100% on his oxygen support. After only 3 of the six treatments his is down to 30% on his oxygen support. We asked if the steroids had any adverse affects to the brain. We were assured that the study most people refer to was a treatment of 61 continuous days. We were also assured that it is very critical that Jonah recieves this treatment and possibly more in the future so his lungs will develope. There is talk of Sending Jonah back to McKay Dee. We were informed that we are waiting on the insurance to see if they will pay for the back transfer. So, as we say in at my place of work, "Hurry up and wait."
