Happy November to you all! I can hardly believe Jonah will be 2 months old tomorrow! My first thought is that it has passed so quickly but then when I stop to consider where we've been it seems that it has been a lifetime. Jonah has had an alright day. They've gone up on his feedings to 8ml an hour and they've decreased his calories. His little tummy has not been tolerating his feedings the past couple of days as well as we would like, and these changes are an attempt to get his gut working better. His lungs have become a big enough concern that the doctors are considering a 30 day steroid treatment. Studies have been done on the effects of steroids (in large doses) when they are used for an extended period of time. Those studies showed an increase in developmental delay. The doses Jonah will receive are smaller than those in the study but it is still concerning. We need to get Jonah's lungs to develop as quickly as possible so that we don't have to go the ...
